Copy No. 73 of a limited edition of 300.  In this rare volume, David Morris spends nearly one-third of a paragraph discussing the patriarch of Jackson, Michigan's Burger Chef franchise, Arthur T. Dolan.  According to Morris, Mr. Dolan opened his first Burger Chef in 1950 on North West Avenue.  He opened two more in the early 1960s, one on South Brown Street and the other on East Michigan Avenue.  The latter site had originally been his father's Checker Sandwich Shop which opened in 1929.
