I hadn't heard about Pimp Gate, actually. Thanks for the link.

I'm on the fence about this issue. I think it's totally inappropriate for Shuster to use that word on a newscast. On his blog or in a column, that's another issue. As for Hillary's reaction, that's ridiculous. The story only quotes her communications director, so I wonder what her public reaction will be. I think she should calmly condemn it, and particiapte in the deabtes. Can't blame a whole network for the one person's ad-lib on live TV.

As for who I support, I'm still undecided. Love the graphic on the bottom, though. Did you make that, or find it somewhere?

CBK:
Actually, the letter to the president was signed by Hillary... way over the top for a candidate I thought. (The letter isn't linked to in my post.)

Also, Shuster didn't say pimping in a newscast, he was speaking on "Tucker" which is essentially an opinionated pundit show.

Can't take credit for the graphic, I found it on the net.

Note also that I used the word "support" instead of "endorse." By support I mean so far I intend to throw my vote that way, but I'm not really committed.

That is a pretty good political analysis.

The term "pimping" has (unfortunately) gained acceptance, and does not actually mean prostitution anymore.

I consider my boss a pimp, for instance. It is not a complimentary thing, but by my definition it means "sent out to do someone's bidding in a tawdry way."

By that definition all politicians are pimps, at least since the days of Pericles and Phidias.
