Great story and post. But why were you there?

I had attended a lecture by Cornel West several months prior, and the big question on everyone's mind was whether Christians should partner with Farrakhan and participate in the upcoming march. That sparked my curiosity.

It was my senior year in undergrad and I was taking a Tier 3 course in Peace Studies and needed to write a thesis in order to graduate. I thought I'd go to D.C. and report on the march. I managed to get a press pass for the rally the night before; but arrived too late for a press pass to the march itself. So I did the next best thing and camped out on the retaining wall on the west front of the capitol. That was about as front and center as you could get.

AHHHH Tier 3 classes. I took Existentialism.

Suburban Scrawl 2 is in production.
