Monday evening means Antiques Roadshow. I turn into Indiana Jones every time I watch it, turning red in the face and yelling at my TV, "That belongs in a museum!" Most notable from tonight's show: a letter of "regret" signed by all the National Guard members who participated in the Kent State shootings and a collection of 160+ Time magazine covers from the late 60s and early 70s autographed by the people featured on them (including Neil Armstrong and Henry Kissinger.) The appraiser spits out a dollar figure, either what the items would earn at auction or the amount he'd insure them for. The owner accepts the figure with greedy satisfaction.
"BELLOQ!!!"
Knock, knock, knock on my hotel door. I hide my whip and fedora and throw on some pants. It's the management warning me to keep it down again....God, I hate Mondays.
