Dixie Avenue
Oh Burger Chef, one of my favorite childhood memories-going to Burger Chef -it was on Dixie Ave. How I wish there was a time machine so we could go back to 1966 to Burger Chef!

Anyone out there that remembers the good times we had working for Mr. Wigger in the early 70's?

For 15 years, Myrtle Watson managed the former Burger Chef restaurant in Florence, until she retired in 1981, when she was 72. Her fellow employees called her "Memaw." Mrs. Watson passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the age of 97. "Myrtle Watson, worked hard to support family", The Kentucky Post, November 18, 2006

A Burger Chef opened in Florence on November 3, 1977. It was operated by Marvin Wigger.

Euclid Avenue
I have fond memories of the Burger Chef on Euclid Ave., Lexington, KY, directly across from the University of Kentucky campus. I ate there nearly every week from 1975 until it became a Hardees a few years later. At the time I was a graduate student at UK and would go there at night for a snack since it was only a couple of blocks away from UK's main library where I spent most of my time.

In 1976 and 1977 I was in fifth and sixth grade, and I used to ride my bike to the Bardstown Road (Buechel) location just about everyday to get a top chef or super chef burger. I miss Burger Chef
