Burger Chef Locations

Aurora, CO

10th and Peoria

There was a Burger Chef location in Aurora CO.  It was located about 10th and Peoria Streets.  I use to walk from Central High School over there for lunch almost everyday.  You could get a cheeseburger meal for about 60 cents and since I got a dollar a day for lunch, it worked for me.

Boulder, CO

Chuck Farthing opened a Burger Chef in Boulder in 1969.  The following photos were featured in an article about Farthing in the October 1972 issue of Scene:

72nd & Federal

I believe there was one on 72nd and Federal in Westminster.

621 W. 84th Avenue

Now is Fiesta Del Sol, mexican restuarant.  I have a picture of this site at my site Burger Chef Memories, sent by one of my viewers.  Hope the update helps your site out.  Thanks for all the references back to my site that you put on yours!!

I-70 & Federal Boulevard

I do believe that there was one of them on I 70 and Federal BLVD next to the Village Inn.

Longmont, CO

215 Main Street

Rene and Maria Cervantes opened a restaurant in this location for a short time, but closed in 2001.  The location was important to them because they had frequented the Burger Chef that existed here when they were dating in the 1970s.

Washington Street

There was a Burger Chef in Northglenn, Colorado off of Washington Street.

Thornton, CO

84th and Washington Street

I believe there was one in Thornton around 84th and Washington Street. That building is still standing but I don’t recall what it is now.
