This store closed in 1972 or 1973. That store number was in the 800's (as I recall).

Burger Chef #1282

There was another Burger Chef on Dix-Toledo Road near Southfield Road (M-39).  After General Foods closed that one down, it became an Arthur Treachers. It has changed ownership and is now a family/seafood restaurant.

This location had the front enclosed and is now a Leon's family restaurant.

I have a late 1980s phone book listing a Hardee's at 1817 Dix. Could it have possibly gone Burger Chef->Hardee's->Arthur Treacher's->Leon's?

Fort Street
Burger Chef #1485

I worked there as an Assistant Manager in 1972-1974. It was located on the corner of St. John and Fort Street.  When Burger Chef closed down, there was a Hardees across the street so this location was never converted. Several years back, the building was torn down and a Burger King was put up in its place.

This was a treat for us when we were kids, we didnt eat out much. But after a trip to the doctors we always went there.

The store location was actually in Lincoln Park. Store number was 1485. I worked there as an Assistant Manager in 1972-1974. The building was torn down and replaced with a new Burger King
