Transit Street

My very first job was in one of the only two Burger Chefs in New York State. One located in the city of Buffalo in the Alan-town district (which I worked at as an assistant manager) and one I recall being located in Lockport (I could be wrong about that it was many years ago) Both location had never be renovated and were still the 60's style A frames with the orange and white décor.

Yes there was a Burger Chef in Lockport. I can remember eating there when I was very very young. It was on the East side of Transit across from what is now a Dunkin Donuts. What memories!!

Wow. My memory of Burger Chef is very old. I remember going to the store in Lockport as a small child, with my mother in the 1960s and 70s. I remember fabulous chocolate milkshakes and the big neon sign that towered in front of it. I'm pretty sure we shopped at a big store across the street; maybe a Sears.
