This Pleasers is still open-voted best fast food in Hickory, NC for two years running-unfortunately for me the hours are a little strange-they're not open at all on Sundays, and close at 3 PM on Saturdays. Undoubtably a former Burger Chef.

No doubt at all, this Burger Chef is listed in the 1968 directory.

After a $100,000 remodeling job, the Burger Chef restaurant in Hickory, NC threw a grand re-opening party on April 30, 1977 that attracted a crowd which police estimates numbered between 9,00 and 11,000.  The festivities were featured in the July issue of Burger Chef Scene that year.  You can read the article and see pictures from the event here.

I remember the old Burger Chef, my dad worked across the street at a grocery store and they would send new employees over there for "light-bulb water".

I stop in for breakfast now and then and they have a great livermush biscuit.

I think that they are closed on Saturdays now all day. You could call them at 828-327-2425.

Some time before, I really needed to buy a good house for my business but I did not have enough cash and couldn't order anything. Thank heaven my dude proposed to get the credit loans from trustworthy creditors. Hence, I acted that and was satisfied with my short term loan.
