3702 2nd Avenue

There was a Burger Chef located at 3702 2nd Ave. The original building still exists and is operated as Little John's Burgers today.

NE 14th Street

One was located in the Eastgate Plaza area on NE 14th St.  It no longer exists.

Fleur Drive

Burger Chef was located on Fleur Drive just north of McKinley Ave.  This location was converted to Hardee's.  It was closed and demolished about...oh...five years ago.

Grand Avenue

Across the street from Central Campus (old Tech High!), west of the downtown area.  It no longer exists.

Hubbell Avenue

Des Moines, Iowa had multiple Burger Chef locations!! There was one located on Hubbell Ave., north of Kmart. Later, the location changed to a Hardee's. I worked at this particular Hardee's. In the early 2000's, Hardee's closed all but two of their stores. This particular building remained and was bought out by the KFC/ Taco Bell chains.

you missed the one that was located @grand and 63rd by the old plantation drive in. later became a bar called my apartment i belive
