This particular Burger Chef had a small illuminated sign under the marquee that promoted the Fish Sandwich. It later served as a wiener king and is now a package store

What a trip down memory lane. r My very first job was at the Burger Chef on Alps Road when i was a teenager. My uniform consisted of white shoes and a red apron worn over a white nurse's uniform/dress. Many afternoons there were only two employees besides the manager : myself on register & taking orders up front and a boy named Dexter in the back cooking. Other times it was incredibly busy. Somewhere in one of my scores of photo albums I have a photo of a coworker behind the counter which I will post if I ever find it.

There was also a Burger Chef on Prince Avenue in Athens.
