Akron, OH
A Burger Chef opened in Akron on October 17, 1977. I don't have an address for it, but it was operated by Robert Spencer.

West Market Street & Oakdale
There was one on West Market Street in Akron. I grew up there in the 60s - 70s.

More specifically, it was located on W. Market somewhere between Maple St. and the Tangier Restaurant, on the south side of Market. I went to school on Maple and worked at Tangier a few blocks away. I'd stop at Burger Chef on my way to work after school, buy a small hamburger, and load it up with everything from the "works bar". I'm not sure what's there now, I no longer live in the area.

That Burger Chef was on the corner of Oakdale and W.Market Street. When they were building it a group of kids used to play at the construction site and my sister was buried alive. She survived. We lived right behind it and that was the coolest we could get lunch for like 50Cents. The good old days.
